Community Profanity Word Filter
Included in our 90 day support for the community website package, we regularly moderate the forum or niche community for performance issues and ensure the spam filter is working correctly. Flagging inappropriate language and crude comments also fall into the scope of support that we provide.
In doing so, we have compiled quite a list of profane words that we thought would be useful for community moderators. Most of the popular community software on the market include a script to replace these words with a symbol or symbols of your choice, require a comma separated list and in some cases lock the post for review until the moderator has a chance to approve it. The hard part about this, is not getting the script to run, but finding all of the words to put in the list.
Manually Recovering your Joomla! Admin Password
Quick Fix Guide
This quick fix guide will walk you through simple steps to recover your Joomla!TM administrator password. If you are locked out of your administrator as a super-admin and there is only one super-admin account for your website, this guide will help you reset your password in less than 5 minutes.
Recently, I came across an issue where the super-admin gid was incorrect. In these cases skip the password reset and simply change the super-admin’s gid field to ‘25’ (Joomla 1.5).
