As people have moved away from desktop computers in the last few years, there has also been a move away from laptops recently. As more powerful tablets and smart phones are coming available, people are no longer content to lug around laptops. Tablets and many smart phones can now do word processing, surf the web and check email. For someone who is on the go, carting around a laptop seems counter intuitive.

While laptop computers are still quite popular, for mobile use more and more people are turning towards the mobility offered by things like the iPad, Kindle and Galaxy tablets. Many tablets can even be connected to Bluetooth wireless keyboards, essentially turning them into laptops anyway. The iPad also allows you to print from it, and the Kindle Fire is automatically connected to Amazon’s cloud storage service. This means that people can work wherever they happen to be.

In the next few years, laptops may be replaced by high power mobile devices that allow you to connect peripherals wirelessly, eliminating bulk but still giving the option of using mice and keyboards. Further, with many tablets using 3G and 4G for internet connections, people may be eventually able to disconnect their home internet service.

The iPhone 4S: Is It Worth Your Time? The iPhone 4S is the most recent edition of the iPhone series. The iPhone 4S starts at 16 GB of storage space, which means you have a lot of room to add what you want. Do you like to take pictures or videos, and with an 8 megapixel camera and 1080p recording who wouldn’t, you can store quite a few before you need to delete or add them to a computer.
Maybe music is your thing there us is room to put a lot of songs on. I have the 16 GB and with 626 songs downloaded i still have 6.7 GB of storage space available. Other ways of enjoying music on the iPhone 4S is through apps. While listening to music on the iPhone 4S a great feature is that you can use the phone to do other things without stopping the music.
One of my favorite features of the 4S is Siri the voice recognition software. With Siri you can use your phone without having to look at it. While driving you can make a call without taking your eyes off of the road. Another use for Siri is just having fun go ahead ask her to marry you and see her response. In closing is the iPhone 4S worth your time, i would have to say it is.

The Kindle Fire is a budget-priced WiFi tablet. The Fire boasts an impressive feature set and an even more impressive price tag but is the Fire the right tablet for you? Here is a brief summary of the pros and cons of the Kindle Fire to help you decide.

Pros

Let’s get it the biggest pro out of the way: at $199, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a cheaper tablet. The Kindle’s screen quality is excellent, with a 7″ screen offering plenty of real estate to watch videos or browse the Internet. The Fire boasts a full-featured web browser with unique cloud technology: as you browse, the cloud will pre-cache its prediction for your next website, theoretically decreasing the time you spend waiting for pages to load.

Cons

For all its pros, the Fire does have several important cons. The Fire doesn’t have many of the premium features of more expensive tablets: 3G, cameras, microphones and GPS are absent. The bright color screen can cause eyestrain while reading e-books. The Fire only has 8GB of storage space and doesn’t have any expansion options. Lastly, the Fire does not have any parental controls other than a general screen lock.

The Kindle Fire is definitely a device of compromises. If you need what the Fire has and don’t care about what it doesn’t, the Fire could be the right tablet for you.

What are the Top 5 New Tablet Devices?

Most consumers have a preference and when it comes to preference, one must offer consumer opinions.

1. The Apple iPad has become the tablet of choice due to it’s exceptional innovative speed. This tablet now has much faster graphics, as well as 4G wireless options. If you are a true fan of the Apple iPad then you will understand the upgrades that have graced the newest version.
